54kms over? How fast over do you have to be doing before you lose your license? I thought it was around the 40km mark?

im pretty sure if u are more than 42km/h over the limit its 6 points, unless you are doing double the speed limit, where you loose your licence.

except your bike could probably stop in the same distance from that speed as a car would from 60 :P

I GIVE UP PPLZ!! Driving home on Sunday morning 1:00am after picking my younger brother and his friend up from a party (being the nice bro that i am) i was pulled over by a marked police car. I was polite to the officer until he told me that my rims were too big, he was going to book me and i needed to pop the bonnet so he could check everything was in proper working order. The officer fined me $76 for rims being too big, $76 for P plate behind tint in back window and $102 for an engine oil leak that he apparently spotted from the rear of the car while he was checking my exhaust and springs. Mind you, it was the power steering rack and it wasn't dripping or anything major, just enuff to catch dirt and muck off the road and look dirty!! By this time I was out of the car and had the ****s!! My mate started to ask questions like, "Are you looking for anything in particular or are you just admiring the Holden?" & "Why did you pull us over anyway, were we doing something wrong?" The officer turned around pushed him out of the way and told me, "For every word he says from now on your going to get another ticket". In the end 7 cop cars had pulled over behind me on a rising corner, blocked off two lanes of traffic while having a chat with the cop that pulled me over. I ended up with 3 fines & 4 defects: rims, oil leaks, brake reserviour cap clip broken and steering wheel!). This ordeal took an hour of my time and i was never breath tested or told why i was pulled over!! $1000 dollars later, everything is now engineered, with a new cap and power steering rack. I GIVE UP!! I GIVE UP!! I GIVE UP!! I GIVE UP!! I GIVE UP!! I GIVE UP!! A voice recorder has now been placed permanently in my glove box.

although u got a massive fine good on ya for speaking ur mind. its bull**** how the system works basically it is based on a cop being in a good mood or a bad mood. My mate had a similar instance to yourself, but when told to keep quiet he just keep talkingand talking being the smartarse he is and knwoing he couldn't get more than a canary for his car. the cop ended up halting writting before he stopped talking and my mate proceed to laugh at him saying whats wrong mate you run outta crap to write.

Damn right D1 RX7!! Funny you mention that cause there were guys throwing rocks at the cop car (got a good couple of hits too) and the copper from down the embankment when i was pulled over. But he'd rather defect and fine me than go chasing after guys that caused damage to their cop car.
