I just did the VT conversion last week. The calipers were a bit harder to bleed as the bleed valve is at the bottom of the caliper so to get the air out the first time I inverted the caliper and used a g-clamp to hold the pistons in while I got the remaining air out. After that the pedal feel was good. I recommend the conversion. They can take a bigger pounding and pull up harder. I was told the hub design is engineered already if that is any help so you needn't worry. Just made the original VT brake lines fit and didn't get braided ones.

It's normal for them to get small cracks around the drill holes after a bit of abuse, but mine cracked right though, so the disc actually flexes when you squeeze it with the brake pads, making a nice 'clunk clunk clunk' noise.

Ok let us know when you have experienced it for yourself, not from the mouth of the "salesman" I don't think the VT M/cyl would be alot better than the 1" vl one but reason you would put the VT m/cyl on is because the VL m/cyl wont fit the VT booster. As far as my 1'' master go's, i got it off the same guy... Actually the VT master cylinder is a stepbore cylinder from 1.25" - 1"

Depends on how hard you brake with cross drilled slotted, they yend to crack with excessive heat. I would also recommend just slotted rotors. I've got RDA slotted rotors and the slots go all the way to the ouside of the disc, unlike RDA slotted.
