I think you should have waited in the bushes with a couple of friends, to see if you can catch them in the act. Then jump out and beat the living cr@p out of them! The ultimate satisfaction.. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Me and a couple of friends rented a house near Lakes entrance (VIC) over New years. My car was parked out side cause i couldnt get it in the drive way (too steep). After being there a couple of days we noticed a car doing laps down our street and slowing down every time it went past my car. Then the next day, the same car was back and it pulled over next to my car and a couple of guys in it were just sitting there looking around. I went out to ask them "Can i help you?". They started saying how they liked the car and they were just checking it out. I gave them the benefit of the doubt even though it was all a bit sus, but I still took extra precautions to secure the car after that.

ahh i see where ur coming from dude and yes coming back a second time is a bit sus, so u have reason to think they are dogey ****s and theives, but yeah. I take photos of awesome vl's if i go out and have a camera on me, me and my mate parked the other nite to go have a close up look at a walkinshaw we saw in a shopping centre carpark. I didnt intend on touching the car, or stealing it. Just wanted to have a closer look and chek out its condition. So with the good, there is the bad also i guess. u got people like me, who are just scoping it out cause, like yourself, i like the cars. Then u have those who look to steal. 50/50 as to whether it goes or not.. keep a look out, but dont lose sleep over it hey. Ollie

I'm not losing sleep over it because as I mentioned I'm fully insured but I'm now even extra carefull. You think I own a genuine phase 3 XY GT Falcon, with the securty measures I have in place just to protect a stock looking calais turbo. Not even worth that much. I don't mind dudes admireing my car and my other cars but when they go into someones work place trespassing without permission, and look right over my car without me around to see what's going on then I'm concerned. They probably were car enthusiasts but who knows what else they were coming back a second time. I just hope for there own safety they don't come back, I have a few Samoan workmates who want any excuse to bash someone for fun. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

What i hate is the fact that anyone should even have to do that...You love your car so much...but you cant even take it to work. Dont think i'm having a go at you, im just talking in general about thieves..

Well I used to have a cheap Mazda 929 runaround car, and it was a reliable thing too but really gutless, but I gave it to a family member because they needed a car and don't have alot of cash. And really why should we pay another registration just because some theiveing scum are targeting our cars. Unfortunately it's a fact of life if you own a half decent looking car.
