My Vl drifts a fair bit. HAvn't givin it a go on the street just in an empty huge carpark when it was wet. I guess its the suspension considering it cost me $2500. I don't seem to get crossed up with my arms unlike my mate in his VK which is a lot harder to maintain when you get sideways

Thats so right. I have had two VLs - and both were open wheelers. They drifted forever, no hesitation. Tyre selection was critical (same both sides etc) but other than that, the things were tail happy. I know heaps of people that hang open-wheeler VLs out all day. Not hard.

Haha, N/A drift kings. You have to give my slugger a bootfull to even get a chirp out of it, full lock, full noise out of corners is the best she'll do. Not that it really matters, I (obviously) didn't buy it to cut 11s. Now not being a fully sick dorifto like some of you guys, as far as I can gather extreme camber is just to reduce tyre contact with the ground ay? Why don't you just put on thin ****ty tyres and avoid spoiling expesive wheels and rims? I'm sick of people who make any kind of chirp then come out with "Fully sick drift, the honda was showing more arse than a cheap stripper bro!" Haha. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

I'm mates with one of the members of broadside but he's only sixteen so he can't drive yet. Adam in the R32 is supposed to be one of the best drifters in australia. I think he lost his licence drifting in the wrong place at the wrong time though...

Nah 355 slicks! She wouldn't grip anything in the wet! That'd be awesome.

I have a vid of my car drifting in the dry (more like fishes) up a street. It's floating around somewhere on the web. It's not great, but I had to back off because I didn't want to slide into my mate holding the camera. I know some people on here have seen it.

Agreed. I mean, "yeah we do sum sik **** round da round abouts".... Please, how many D1 drifters do you see skipping the arse out of a car around a ROUND ABOUT? That's the most hilarious example of "drifting" I've ever heard. "Stuffed suspension and shocks really help" "I have a panhard rod" "N/A VL auto.....blah blah blah" Seriously, I hope all of you guys were just having a pull and a giggle, cause that's some of the most retarded **** I've ever heard. Along with "minispool". Drift cars do NOT use spools. Ugh, they'd use multiple-way LSD's. They dont use ****ed up suspension, and they dont drift easily because of the fact they have nearly no power and an AUTO. No drifters use autos. Why? Too unpredictable and too hard to control when you're coming into a corner at 80km/ph speeds. A drift isnt "getting the arse out around a round about/coles carpark". Any douche bag can do that, even in an N/A Auto. They generally sustain the loss of traction from well BEFORE the corner, until AFTER it. Not following the line in, then skipping the arse end out, making a bit of noise, then straightening up. I'd seriously doubt ANYONE here has the ability to drift, let alone well. And as for the VL being able to drift? Sure, if you spent way more money than its worth to do so. Just get an S13 and deck it out. But prepare for all the bodywork expenses, because even the pro's **** up.
