dont forget guys you pay for what you get. I paid $5500 for my berlina turbo, little bit of rust around the wind screen. good interior and the rest of the exterior was fine. engine ran good. 2 months down the track the head goes. looks like the guy did a bodgy job fixing it. got that done then CAS goes. then fuse box burns out. then injectors go. then gearbox goes. the car is nearly perfect now with new paint, wheels etc. but it has cost me a fortune. goes to show if you spend a little more buying something better it wont cost you as much in the long run

I gotta tell ya almhsv mine isnt like that head has just been rebuilt ported and heavily braced to prevent stress cracking. Just dropped it off to my uncle smash shop now actually for a new respray in same colour. My other m8 just picked up a mint nick VL Berlina 5.0l for 2800. So obvioulsy over here in the west there r some bargains to be had. As far as doing mine up goes, one m8 is a motor trimmer, one is and ally/stainless welder, another is a panelbeater and I handle the mechanical and the parts side of it, cant lose me thinks. Working in a Holden parts dept has its lurks and perks. Plenty of bargains r there to be had u just have to know wot u r looking at a be in the right place at the right time.
