NSW leads the grim tally with 24 dead. Since December 19, Queensland has recorded 18 road deaths, Victoria 17, South Australia nine, Western Australia six, Tasmania four, and the Northern Territory three. The Australian Capital Territory remains fatality-free. Australia has recorded its worst Christmas-New Year road toll for at least eight years. The toll period for 2003-04 ended at midnight (AEDT), with 81 people dying on the nation's roads. That was the highest holiday road toll since at least 1996-97. The next highest toll since then was 80 in 1997-98 and again in 2000-01, while 71 lives were lost last year. Police said the 2003-04 toll was already one of the worst in recent years. SOMETHING HAS TO BE DONE...

IMHO the governments have no idea .... to the point where i wonder if they even drive cars anymore. Do they even know whats going on? UP here street racing and general havoc by lappers are apparently a problem, but you know what the closest drag strip is 130 km away and part of that is dirt road. Why not use some of that reveue from the speed camera's to put in a facility for the called Delinquents of society as their often described. There's my little bitch about accidents. PS the chick from Today Tonight gives me the poos - I'd so love to take her for a thrash (not sexually ) in my VL and frighten the tits off her Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

yeah ... like she would even care? like when they had some "hoons" on there doing a driving test. She goes something like "people can't even past a simple driving test and they hoon our streets" .... man ok get her in a 250rwhp rwd S14 with stiff ass suspension and get her to try and do a tight chicane at 80 km\h and see if she does come upstuck. The driving instructer didn't even go as hard as the guys when he demonstrated. The media twists and turns information around all the time .... and Today tonight does it nearly the worst i reckon. Ok with these stats about the number of deaths do they ever post stats on how many cars were travelling compared to other years when they had less accidents? I mean there were a bloody heap of people around this year ... well up here anyway. I just annoys me how they only give you that details they want you to hear and twist the truth something shocking. Like how many old people have accidents? Or women in 4wds?

ACA always give a bias look on most reports they do. What happend with that swimming coach that was taken to court for a DVA to be put in place, and the girl that put it on him withdrew it. But ACA went full on with this guy when she rang ACA and alleged all this crap about him. I never heard ACA retract anything they said about the guy once the DVA was wirthdrawn. But hey that ACA....well not thats our wedia in Australia "Steve Irwin dangles 1 month old son infront of croc". Thats what I first heard on the radio....The fotage I saw was Bob in Steve's left arm...no fu*ken dangling. But hey thats Australian media for ya.... But anything to get Australians mind off the road toll will do at the moment. Where's Jonny I wanna know what he thinks about the way the state and territory goverment have handled the road toll problem.....ok I wait till the cricket has finished. Then Jonny can get his mind back on politics
