I used to run 19 - 20 psi at the track with the old T04 but it had the same power as it does now at 17. I havent got it tuned yet on anything over 17. I would like to use 20 for track and 25 for drags. heat is a big big problem at the track so you cant run too much without expecting problems, to date my car is one of the most reliable in my class. we will see what happens this season. how did I go?, I won last season overall against an old V8 supercar, lots of V8 club cars (VC - VT) and Griceys old Roadways VL. Tyres at the strip were 26/10.5/16 Mickey Thompson ET streets. I have 26/11.5/16 to go on now. I still run the Jatco....

What series do you race in? I missed the supercar round in NZ. Have you raced at that track?? How do your times compare to to the V8 supercars??? Just to get some idea of how quick you really are! At my local track (winton), last sprints with a slower than standard n/a engine i did a 1:54, with a best time of 1:52 with the turbo. So the suspention mods are starting to work!! The supercars do around the 1:23 - 1:24 at winton.... i've got along way to go, can't wait for some more power now the chassis is up for it! Keep up the good work, Cheers!

Thanks. I run in the "V8 saloon Challenge" its a club race series consisting of 6 rounds 4 at Pukekohe (V8 Supercar track - 20 minutes from where I live), 1 at Taupo and 1 at Manfeild. Its run by the Commodore Car Club of NZ and we invite other clubs etc. we do anything from 3 x 8 lap races in a day to 2 x 25 lappers. The V8 supercars do 57 qualifying and 58's racing. I do 1.05 - 1.06 at the moment, but hope to be down to within 5 seconds of them by the end of this season. Pukekohe is a very fast track with the back straight leading into the hairpin! has a blind hill and lots of bumps. My main competition has spent a bit of money and I will be lucky to keep up with him this year. My brother has just bought a mates VLT that I helped build a year or so ago, has race brakes and suspension R33 G/box etc. he is going to fit a cage soon and race with me, hopefully we can hold off the V8 clowns... lol
