yeah we only went to the beach once the whole week we were down there.. and i didnt even go for a swim. just couldnt be ****ed. didnt feel very good, so i dug a huge hole until there was water in the bottom hah and it was above my shoulders but im a small ****. just fly up.. and when u need to get somwhere.. just hail a vl turbo and u'll be right. 30 bucks? i bought my drinks before i left and still spent 150 this year security was tight, i dont believe there were any stabbings. I did not see one fist thrown the entire time.. there were a few tussles here and there.. the 100 or so guys from my school who were tehre.. well we were almost in some massive brawl with guys from some other school.. but its all ****.. never happens i know there were a few fights but i did not see any.. everyone was there to have a good time... last year was violent.. this year was not, but there was tighter security 2 visitors AFTER 8? thats very odd... i dont know of any places that allowed visitors during the night... my building was very average and we werent allowed visitors after 6pm and there was a security guard (very cool fello) on the door from 6pm - 6am and sneaking in was impossible from what ive heard about this year so far the second week is very average... hell even the first week was soft in my opinion.. the first saturday and sunday night and then the lsat night (friday) were the only decent nights... cavill was pretty dead on the rest of them the beach "parties" well i dunno they have music n stuff but yeh people just stand around.. they didnt do much for me.. was very difficult to meet new people down there.. like as i said previously u can talk to chicks but only about so many things.. as soon as u ask where they are staying or what they are doing for the rest of the night or if they want to get a drink or food with u then they get suss and disappear dont go rushing into booking because while it says it is booked out now they will keep releasing rooms almost up to schoolies next year.. like it may say sold out but they release more rooms next year "Stick with ur mates and use common sence and u wont have any trouble." i spent a hell of a lot of time walking round on my own at night just meeting people... was fantastic i was not worried at all... but yes common sense is a must My week started saturday morning driving down tehre... first sleep was monday morning about 7am.. i slept for 2 hours before getting up... next sleep was tuesday morning 4am - 8am... etc etc the last few days my day was like sleep from about 4-5am til 1-2pm then get up breakfast.. start drinking.. the beach was visited once on the first morning.. went knee deep chasing the frisbee and that was it the rest of the week the wind was far to strong to go near the beach, hence it was spent indoors drinking boredom does set in at times, it was solved with drinking

I went in 2001 when i turned 18. I spent $1500 in 7 days, I went on the 2nd week too which a majority of the crowd were from Melbourne. Most of my money went on alcohol (jimmys are like $7 at clubs) and food. I stayed at the Sun City resort which is a grade A resort apart from the pussy manager and his security guard bitches who tried to kick us out after 10mins of check in. IMO, the beach parties sucked. Chicks were all sober, and you were constantly preached by the Schoolies support team who hand out these damn little green god books. Funny thing was though, a priest got thrown in the divi van first night we were there for preaching lol. It made the papers and all. Anyways, as other people have mentioned, (ill get straight to the point) room parties are the best for getting a root, and shooters bar has the best talent for picking up. Followed by c0cktail dreams and The Suger Shack. Stay away from the Bourboun bar, its always that full of people because of the schoolies free entry cards and it takes for ever to get a drink there with so many other people ordering. Take the Surfers by Night cruise, it sails for 3 hours and has a night club down stairs, and on the deck it has entertainment. Most places have underground parking so taking the vl up is an option. The car parks can only be access by smart cards given out by the resort. There arnt that many fights either. The media make up crap just to pick on schoolies because they didnt have it in their day. Here's a couple of pics from the Sun City Resort which we stayed at. Pretty good joint. Has a salt water lagoon, 2 water slides (yay, warning, dont wear boxers when you go down it!!), indoor pool and spa, gym, and another secluded pool which is where the action happens at night .
