if it gets up to bout 3 then they will write it off... the insurance assessor comes out and goes through it with the panel shop, add up total cost to repair back to new, and if that price exceeds 70% of the market value or your agreed value, then its a statutory write off... piss it off, save up for a month or so like i did, then go for it a get a vlt... you wont look back TRUST ME Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

yeah, its only an n/a exec/berlina? don't bother getting it fixed if they pay you out for $3k. just strip and sell off the rest of the car and buy a turbo... its not worth screwing around over the long run.. everyone wants a slice of your money, insurance company's panel beaters etc etc.

I got rear-ended about a month ago, not as bad as yours, most of the damage was done to the bumper bar, behind it, and some to the boot lid ect. Got a quote for $5300, but that is from a quality workshop, I only trust the best people with my car!

looks like it will be getting fixed. duno what im going to do about eventually getting a vlt, if it comes out good enough i might start to slowly convert it doing diff and brakes then engine and box. on the other hand if i dont like the way it turns out i guess ill save till i can sell the n/a and have enough to buy a nice vlt.
