My power antenna module blew a while ago.. My antenna always used to go halfway up when I turned the HU on, and after replacing the module, it now goes all the way up, which looks f7cking gay!!!! So I put a switch in thatcuts the power to the antenna.. So I have it just sticking up normally, and it doens't go up or down when the HU is turned on or off, unless I turn the switch on... and if I need to put it up, I flick the switch, and press the up button... When Im happy with the height, I flick the switch again, and it will stay that way... I'll take a pic of my switch and post it up later... Cheers, Craig

Okay i just bought a Aerpro antenna cause my elec antenna is fcuked. If i plug it straight into the head unit will my up/down controls on the side of my dash still work or will i have to wire the antenna to the switch then to the HU?

I am installing a new antenna atm and having troubles too, in regards to checking the wires, just turn the wheels fully to the left and remove the guardliner, you can then unplug the wires and test for current using a multimeter or test light. Hope that helps Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Nearly eight years old, I'm sure he would've fixed the problem LOL.

Don't buy the aerpro elec antenna- the bracket that holds up doesn't fit the original under the guard + the antenna cable is too short to reach the head unit!!.. best off getting an original from rare-spares...
