my car has 4 high pitched sirens hidden in the cabin.. if they get in its gonna hurt there ears!.. especially under the dash if they want to get it going plus i got solexs (with a bit of solder holding them in the right spot so you cant turn the lock around), 5 immobilisers/kill switches, the alarm, a garage (security cameras in work carpark), an alarm in the garage.. i knife stuck in the wood at the back door (easy to grab while running out) and a few other little theft deterrants

No matter what we do to prevnet our rides from being taken from our possesion ,if they want it they will tow it. And as for having no keys locks i've been told on most holdens all you need is a paddle pop stick to push through the rubber on your rear door qaurter window and the door just pops .

with the amount of commodores being stolen around here a few months ago, i did everything i could to keep my car.. they where getting taken so fast.. their best was 6 in one night.. which is pretty bad for a town with only 18,000 people

its pretty freaky the local newspaper in my area has all the stats each week of how many cars stolen and house break ins with street names and dates. not good when theres cars being stolen from the next street and 10 break ins a week in the surrounding streets...

LOL, a paddle pop stick?? give me a break a crow bar maybe, its not a Ford. i can understand that u can tow something but if its in the middle of the night shouldnt an alarm be loud enough for someone to hear it, surely? also if cars r getting towed/stolen from peoples neighbourhoods it would be pretty noisy putting a vl on a tow truck in the middle of the night, (not to mention the sound of the truck). And how would they get past 5 immobilers/kill switches if they werent using a tow truck? I remember when my first Vl got broken into about 2.30 in the morning one night just 4 the head unit to get knocked off, and i heard noises but didnt suspect anything. if i heard an alarm thatd be a different story. And also most alarms have battery backup so... Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

But the sought of guys that do this sort of thing are usually off their face so i don't think they'd honestly care how much noise they make.

they would care if i came running out with a baseball bat and 5 mates then their ugly mug would be described to the cops.

all very tough talk guys. u need an alarm with optional siren. u are home, no siren just a pager. sneak out, WHAM!! instant satisfaction. when u are out, turn siren on for deterrent. see jcar catalogue. then they wont be back. thats what we are all aiming for isnt it? and besides, a good story to tell..........

If your going to use a BAT on the pricks make sure it's got 9" nails poking through the end of it. (Rusty ones even better). If I ever caught someone trying to even open my door, they would wish they were never born.

Apparently, if they tow your car the alarm goes off automatically. Something about if your car is tilted at 30 degrees or above, the alarm senses its being towed and disables itself. Probably bull**** though..

Correct me if I'm wrong. I had disconnect my battery before getting my car towed home one night (was a risk, as i was leaking fuel) & cause I didn't have the key to override the alarm... I had this car on the back of tow truck blarring with it blarring away... Was funny coming over the westgate bridge at 3 in the morning Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
