well, ive biult it. It emits a loud "barp...barp" every 2 seconds, and transmits about 2kms in the open. The signal turning on and off gives it a further range as its easier to distinquish it in the static of the radio in a freq clear area. Shall put it all in a steel box, hide it in the car and try it out. ill get a mate, give him a CB. Tell him to go hide the car somewhere in town one night and ill try to find him!

If he tries you won't find it. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

dude if it's even remotely successful, combine it with a directional antennae and sell it as a kit :P

hey but the whole idea of transmitting barp...barp sound on frequency would only really work if each one was completely different ( i mean as in totally different frequency's or transmitted differently) caus then you'd have whole lot of vl's driving around all transmitting the same thing!! but anyways sounds like good idea with bit of tweaking and ****!! later

Imagine........Your car gets stolen, but you and your mates track it down within an hour or so homing in on the beeps........................ holy **** they've resprayed it and fitted a full Calais bodykit, interior and different wheels and plates. That was quick! Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

I have heard that theres a company in the U.S that installs a remote imobiliser to cars, in which if your car is stolen you can then phone a particular number and no matter where the car is it kills the engine. They also have G.P.S tracking on the system. I had an article on it if I can find I will post.

Maybe you could combine and old phone and sim card in your car, then when you make a call to the phone in the car it switches off the car. Might be able to get around it a cheaper way. Actually a new sim card is probably a good idea so you dont get a random phone call half way across a set of lights
