I have the heavy duty pressure plate and diaphragm, with modded pivot point, running an organic clutch plate......only stock boost too, any more boost and a cooler i will be definately going for a 5 puck button
Remember if you do go for the bigger turbo clutch kit you will need the turbo starter aswell....i think....
If u have the standard clutch ring Direct Clutches in Brisbane. They use the old housing (because there spose to be good?), replace the the pressure plate and give you a five puck button clutch plate. Works fine on mine and chirps top gear.

Not to sure on the recomended ratings but i run 19 psi, and can flick the clutch at 60/70 in third and smoke sideways down the road, now a stock clutch would never do that!!!

not doubting you , just wondering how much power it takes to chirp 5th?
Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
I tested mione not long after getting it and I giggled my arse off well I dialed up about 4 grand and dropped it in second from a standing start, the smokiest longest no clutch burnout I have ever done, didn't think to try third though.
Man I laughed my arse off, I had to go and get my GF to show her I was so proud.

Its not so much the power of my car that does it its the clamping pressure of the the pressure plate to make the clutch clamp onto the flywheel. My car doesn't have that much power its that it is $1000 clutch and u pay 4 what u get. I'm not "big noting" myself its a good clutch and there worth looking into.
I just bought a 9 puck "cushion button" from Adelaide Clutch Services. It looks pretty damn sweet - here's some pics.

unfortunately thats the best quality photos my mobile can do and I don't have the digi cam here.
It goes in on friday and i'll let ya know what its like .
notice the spring (W washers) still present between the clutch plates, and the sprung centre... hopefully thats enough to make it smooth!! $550!!
Thanks for the part no.'s JET-6, i spoke to repco and they said that the centreforces aren't being made anymore and the only one that's left i need to buy as a complete kit (which was too much moolah). And i found this clutch

I can't for the life of me understand why manufacturers make clutches 'look' pretty, you don't see em once they're in.
Good price though, I imagine that'll stand up to quite a bashing.
I'm more impressed with the quality of the pics your phone takes!
Hey Jet-6,
Give me the full details on your clutch and part numbers. Is it that cheap ($500) at retail or can you get it cheap. Do you think it will handle up to 250 rwkw?
Cheers

they can modify the pivot point onyour pressure plate to give more clamping force and better pedal feel , works a treat. With a good organic plate you shouldnt have too many dramas.
How do you do this? I can't understand how you get better clamping force.
I'm thinking you meant lengthening the arm that comes out of the bellhousing.
Maybe you meant altering the pressure plate itself. Please clarify as I'm a bit slow this time of year.
