i read a few replies and every one has the same ideas on screamers, so yeah dude just get a plumb back bove, noiseless. and will make your car run better. 2nd last from the bottom. http://www.otomoto.com.au/kkrothers.htm

and use the standard air fiter box with a k&h filter in it, not a pod filter. Pods filters make the deep wooooshhhh like a jet, coming onto boost, standard air box makes it more like a wissle and most people where onto the old screamer pipe story lol. usually can only be done to external gated turbos, and yes they are pritty load coming onto boost! sounds like a 747 powering up and get rid on the dam atmosphere venting BOV i had hearing them on VLTs. Well any car really! serious wank factor and i think it could only be called a screamer pipe if its venting to the atmosphere if its just plumbed into the exhaust its just parts of the exhaust Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Or am i wrong....plz clear this up for me Cheers, Chris its exactly the same correct me if im wrong! but a wastegate is used to vent excess gases after the turbo is on the boost level desired, meaning it needs no more exhaust gasses! so all that excess gas has to go thru the wastegate, the main advantage an external gate has over an internal one is the amount of gas it can vent - due to it being a much bigger size than one stuffed in an exhaust housing. the bigger the gate the less chance of a boost surge id imagine?? i also have a screamer pipe very loud lol combined with the rest of the noises from my car its a strange symphony! People seriously can't win on this site.. Make a new thread - Have it closed and told to do a search. OR Search and post in an old thread - Get ridiculed for digging up an old thread. If you read some of the recent posts they are giving a reply to the thread starter, I'm sure he got his answer 4 years ago. So burst a blood vessel in some other thread and stop acting like a tosser, If you can't win on this site you do have an option not to direct your browser to this forum Quote: Originally Posted by DVS 86 Screamer pipe is the external wastegate exhaust pipe that legally should be joined back into the exhaust before the cat. Heres a vl i did recently with a 35/40. Modded factory manifold for a 60mm wastegate from here. http://www.raceonly.com.au/product_i...products_id=47 (http://www.raceonly.com.au/product_info.php?cPath=34&products_id=47) If anyone wants the mod done i can have it done for around $140(you give me manifold and ill weld it and give it back to you). You can bring your turbo along and i can weld up the WG hole. Here are some pics Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
