Both Ford and holden have potential..... A friend of mine has an ED Falcon 4.0L that he has turbo'd, pretty much stock except for exuahst, lowered and wheels, it gets 250rwhp with no other performance mods other than the turbo and cat-back exuahst...... And Everyone on here knows that the good old VL Turbo has great potential, it's probly the only holden i would ever touch....

This has nothing to do with performance, i wanna know why TAXI's are allways Fords Its cause Ford offers a Taxi pack option and Holden dont like the idea of Commodores being used as Taxis. Was actually reading an interview the other day with one of Holdens Directors who was asked this exact question. His response was something along the lines of whenever a manufacturer has taxis as an option the imagbe of the car gets hurt and therefore Holden do not really like there cars being taxis, hence no taxi option. It also said Ford is thinking of moving away from offering a Taxi option for the same reason so Taxi's might soon be back to the old days of buy anbd car and do the coversion yourself if you want a cab. It was an interesting read non-the-less.

So tell me then, Why do european countrys use Mercedes and BMW's and the likes as there normal everyday Taxis? If by using a vehicle as a taxi degardes the image of the company, then by god mercedes must be a real **** company hey. The people high up on the Holden board are half wits, they give out the stupidest replies, they will find any trash to respond with. None of their infomartion has any background research. If they all stopped working Holden would actually become stronger, and more customer focused. Just look at what they say about the GenIII, its not broken, were just doing it to make the customer feel happy, the customer is wrong in thinking its faulty, ya da ya... Holden Board = MORONS! Anyhow the reason you dont see Holden Taxis is because they dont last half as long as the Fords. Ring/Ask any taxi owner/driver what they'd prefer, Ford is the repsonse...

I think more of Fords because they are used for Taxis. If you want the best of something, it's always good to look at what the people who use the things all day everyday for their job use... tools, computers, cars, whatever. When you need to rely on the thing to survive, and your car working reliably is the difference between money and brokeness, you'd pick the more reliable one wouldn't ya, not just a Ford over a Holden cos the taxi pack saves ya a grand....

Id say the Euro's use those cars cause you wouldnt see too many Falcons or Commies over there so they use what they've got on offer. Dont shoot the messanger, I was only conveying what I read. You'll also notice I didnt say what he said was true. I agree with your idea of field testing a car ie. taxis being run around all day. It is true about Ford offering a taxi pack and Holden not offering one so that would also have a bonus for Ford. However (without wanting to start a fight again so dont take this the wrong way), every Police Officer I ever talked to says the Commodores handle the rigours of police duties far better than the Falcons. Im just saying there are two sides to every story. No **** stirring intended. *exits peacefully* 8) Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

*enters furiously* rar ra ra $%^@$ you r532%@ ra raaa rra $#%@3 hehehehe  A Police officer uses his/her vehicle in a completely different manner to that of what a taxi driver does. But from what i've read in the magazine stand, the 'pros' if you will, much prefer the AU handling to the VT handling. But then i suppose it depends on how you like to drive and what you think is better. Also depends on your peers, as if the lil pip squeak new cop is going to come in thinking ford is way cool, and abuse all the holden lovers, he/she will bow there head and be bitch slapped around until they like what everyone else likes, heheh  But seriously, whatever floats ya boat. Give em a BA and a VY then see who likes what. BTW theres no BA Taxi Pack
