I knew where the speed cameras where - made sure of that! Mind you, terminal velocity was not much more than the speed limit! I had to fly down some of the hills to get up the other side half the time.

Andy, my 87 corolla has 250,000k's on clock and she's still going strong. Dont tell me Toyota's cant cut it. Well, all Toyota's EXCEPT Lexcens. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

hahaha smartass Pete... My lexcen can cut it... and anyway, give me 2 weeks and unless you look at the compliance and build plates you wouldn't know it was a Lexcen. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Yeah i know i stand buckleys of ever getting it to be known as a commodore... hell there's about 2500 people here who'll never let me live it down. Although having said that, even i didn't know it was a Lexcen till i went to pick it up from the dealer. Not to worry. And Pete... the website is www.commodorewannabes.com Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

What is the difference between the lexcen and the commodore. other than the name. Why did toyota make such a car. If the engines are the same did toyota get the engines from holden like the holdens did with the Vl from nissan. ??????????

Well in the VR/VS series Lexcen the differences are as follows - Bumper - Headlights - Indicators - Boot garnish - Front 1/4 Panels - Steering Wheel Pad - Dash badge - All Lexcens have Tacho dash - Hubcaps In my time pulling bits off the car i have, i've noticed that most stuff has genuine GM part numbers stamped in it. Toyota made such a deal because they had this love affair where they swapped models. Keep an eye out when you're driving for a Holden Apollo... its a Camry. And a Holden Nova, its a Toyota Corolla. The engines are identical, Interiors identical, bootlids identical, whole rear of the car identical.
