15 march autosalon sounds good. Where exactly will it be held - Convention centre, ekka grounds ??? 19 march test n tune also sounds like a goer. I should have the vk ready for its maiden run. Hoping for at least low 13, but anything will do, I just won't to drive the thing.

Ok it would appear that Willowbank Raceway jumped the gun a little with its date for Autosalon. Autosalon is now on the 6th and 7th of September to be held at Brisbane Exhibition & Convention Centre at southbank. Details are available on the www.fastfours.com.au website. Sorry for the confusion, blame Willowbank Raceway not be.... on the plus side, its now been confirmed that a test and tune will be on that weekend.

yeah i was kinda keen to go as well.... thats the problem with Willowbank setting their schedule a year in advance. Anyway the next big think like that is probably Jamboree or Drag Combat.

Yeah as far as i know they're both towards then end... i'll be talking to Ray at Petroject tomorrow and considering he invented the Jamboree idea i'm sure he'll know. As for Drag Combat... no idea.

went out to Willowbank 2nite and disappointed myself something chronic! Best runs were 2 EXACT 15.891 passes. top speed of 89mph Couldn't believe it. Best reaction time was a .6 on a flat 16. I thought i would have gone better, but i wasn't going any faster. Next time I won't fill up with fuel and do crazy burnouts on my road tyres, oh well first time fun anyway, now i'm totally addicted and want to run a 15.5. pissed off cos some other guy with a VL ran a 15.7 wheres the justice?!

traction? whats that? haha, yeah i'm not sure how i should launch yet, first time and all. I don't think i need to do burnouts like i was doing, also i find i'm still using first gear for half the track so off the line traction has to be worked on. I did do a 15.9 on my very first ever run i think i was short shifting too. Its an NA with a big cam and chiptorque. It feels much better on the road but i think the track was too sticky for my tyres when i get up to speed. I will try a different approach next time, but thats how the car goes with full trim, no tuning, full tank of fuel, spare in the back, road tyres and **** driver.
