03-03-03, 17:08 GMT+10#21 $2000 sounds right for the R33 5 speed.
Someone on the performance forums website fitted this box to his RB25DET powered R31 Skyline,it initially ran the RB30E box so he had to have the tailshaft modified to suit a different uni up front and the R33 slip yoke as they are pressed in whereas the R31 unis are retained by c clips.
I think the other mod was regarding the slave cylinder rod.

05-03-03, 22:36 GMT+10#22 It all depends if you are happy with the Auto or really want a 5 Spd, if you like the Auto, I say go for the other Mods, but if you're keen for a 5 Spd like most of us are (Well I know I am after driving my Dad's new VY 5 Spd Ute) then I say go for the Conversion, I'm a bit suspicious of Transmission Conversions still though... :?

29-04-03, 12:09 GMT+10#25 Gents,
I ended up getting a 5 speed conversion kit for a total of $575.00, which is a really good price considering most wreckers were quoting me around $1350 for the kit. I bought the kit from ABC Auto wreckers in Oxley, Brisbane.
I will get Tipler Auto in Beenleigh, Gold Coast to install the kit, which will cost me another $250.00. Thus, all up it will cost me $825. However, I will advertise my Auto box for sale and hopefully knock a couple of hundred dollars off the grand total.
Cheers,
Joel.
