28-04-03, 18:31 GMT+10#21 Is there a boost limit in the competition? i.e 15psi or something ?
I thought the output from this years winner was slightly disappointing, i mean awesome but I was expecting much more...
Gotta love those twin turbo V8's but...

28-04-03, 19:28 GMT+10#22 I honestly doubt that you will make 1000rwhp troyvk. I'm sorry to be so blunt.
You state your engine will make 400rwkw or maybe even over 55rwkw but this is easily 200rwkw short of 1000rwkw.
I'm not saying it can't be done, but if your engine is only garanteed to make between 400-550rwkw, you will not find an extra 200rwkw.
I would think the title would go to one of subzero's or TRP's cars for sure. Thats if they make the trip.
Cheers

The 15psi boost limit was pissed off, hence the HUGE number's that came out of the previous Summernat's.

26-03-04, 11:51 GMT+10#30 At the end of the day, WHO CARES!!
Let the track do the talking.I'd rather a car that has run PROVEN numbers down the 1/4, than be a DYNO QUEEN.
My opinion anyway.
Having said that, Do the right things to a 2JZ, T88 etc, and it should do pull some crazy numbers all on PUMP fuel.
PSI.

26-03-04, 13:07 GMT+10#31 troy it looks like your running a rb25/30 engine! and in a previous thread i read you will be running a t70 turbocharger, good luck making 1000rwhp, you also stated you hope to make 550rwkw on 25pound! do you understand how much power that is?? Vas's 8 second vl is probably making that sort of power and thats after years of development...
its not as easy as you make it sound, not too mention you need pockets that strech to china!
not to mention you will need a turbo rated at something like 1500hp to make 1000rwhp, and believe me you wont get there with a t70!
if im wrong with regard to the components you plan to use, then let us know what you plan to use to make this power?
dont be offended, im not having a dig at you, but making this sort of power is not that simple!

30-03-04, 10:48 GMT+10#36 The twin turbo 3 litre is it, how does that go bolting in to the VL engine bay?
I remember so guys talking about one such engine in a Walky, is it harder than putting an RB25DET engine in?

30-03-04, 12:46 GMT+10#37 Won't be a ford, they've got nearly 800hp at the fly on the quickest in oz currently.
Unless they do some more mods quick smart it won't be there.
Supra is possible - It'll probably be something we're not expecting.

30-03-04, 16:58 GMT+10#38 it's in Zoom magazine, and know it wasn't that hard just welding the mounts on, old mates' walky was stolen and they stole the heads manifold etc, and the insurance company wouldn't pay for them, so he just brought the supra motor, and run pretty much standard shat all over his walky motor

30-03-04, 20:36 GMT+10#39 i think PSI is gonna come back a lot stronger next year as it is he rushed to get it together for this years nats, he was only running 17 psi, the twin turbo set ups is supossed tocome good at around 20psi, should handle up tom 30psi though, and he has a set of 1450cc injectors for it which he couldnt get working before the nats so he had to settle for a spare set of 600cc injectors he had which he has now maxed out, this car makes power up to 8500rpm and was very restricted this year, can't wait to see it with the bigger injectors and more boost, should be good for over 750rwhp!!!!
