i cant see the arguement being resolved... everyone has preferences....and back on the topic, everyone agrees that the mtx is better than the boss... not necessarily the BEST, but the best out of the choices presented
Nah not on special far as i know? my local PG dealer has them for $280 but i got him down to $250 if i want one. But unfortunately the bloody VL's alt decided to die on me last saturday, then the air con compressor died on me on tuesday so i'm too broke to go take him up on the sub.

Any MTX sub would be better then anything from the boss rangeof subs.
What is so hard to understand. Boss speakers are cheap and nasty.
Moving onto the amps. Have a closer look at the boss amp. it may be abld to provide 75wrms x 4 but at what distortion level.
wrms is half the equation and the total harmonic distortion (THD) level a 1w1m is very important.
Put simply a $350 for an amp that can make 75wrms with .01THD is not as good as a $500 amp thatcan make 75wrms with .001THD.
There are a number of cheap arse $300 amps that can make this 75wrms and higher but they sound **** and any distortion into the sub is damaging.
Oh and by the way the jaycar amps have been tested alongside the boss and other cheap amps and toped the test with the highest wrms value and loudest spl from the test sub as well as equal highest sound quality, so don't knock them because Jaycar sells them.
