Ah cool. Yeah I just took delivery of my new N/A VL Calais (finially) and I'm in the process of working out what I'm gunna have to move to fit it in.....Yeah My plan was to change over the plasic induction pipeing with metal pipeing and connect that to the SC14 and go from there. Just a issue of getting it fabed up.

natho: I think he dropped the idea, as the place where it was getting installed were stuffing him around too much.

NightmareZVL, Yeah it would be possible to have a supercharger and turbo on an engine, nissan has done it and has called it super turbo, its like 1litre engine, and hks has a kit for a 1ggte engine(toyota). Basically the principle of it all is that the supercharger(with clutch kit) is active all the way to a certain rpm creating early boost in lower rev ranges, when the rev gets high and boost increase the turbo will already have attained the required rpms to create a certain boost, in the meantime the supercharger will be disable(disengaged via the s/c clutch) therefore avoiding sapping power from the engine. In principle the super charger handles boost in the low rev range while the turbo handles the high rev range and this will basically give a more linear torque and possibly less lag with lots of boost in every rev range. hope that makes sense... Lord-Data, Oh cools ill check jaycar online now with regards to the kit they have with the ignition. Kaboom, pics comming soon.. my dad actually wants to refabricate the mounts. but ill take a pic before he starts playing with it.

HI4LIFE: The interface sounds cool so why dont you hook up your coil (rev pulse counter), 02 sensor, get a knock sensor off another car and hook that up, AFM, and all the other sensors that the VL has and use it to replace your ECU? It could work if you have the brains to do it. Starting from scratch like this you could completely change the nature of the RB30 and have more variables than A microtech computer. The downside is the amount of time it would take to make something that has already been invented...an ECU. Logging the data is not going to do a thing if the ECU isn't effectively monitoring and changing the variables as you are driving the vehicle. That's why modern engines have ECU's not "realtime" data loggers champ.

Logging the data would help with tuning it .. set it up, run it, watch the recorded data after the run, and tweak where needed, re-run, repeat process untill refinement .. any designing system will have a LOT of datalogging .. to get that ECU tweaked and tuned to perfection for release ..

Does anyone know if its possible and what the best method is for Re-Positioning the Air Con and Power Steering when using the CRS Kit? I'm not too worried about Air Con, but I want to keep Power Steering... Anyone got their VL Supercharged at the moment?

Yer it has been done. Echuca performance has done the set up, waiting for them to get back to me as im planning this setup. apparently they shifted the power steering to the other side of motor at the top. the air con was moved down below the supercharger. the guy is going to get back to me hopfully with some spec's and im going to get this setup done...maybe get them to make all the parts and send them over to me. let you know how it comes along Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
