i looked through all the vl books and so far the best one i have found is the
"Holden Commodore Calais VL Volume 6 Turbo Engine Components 1986 - 1988"
(The service supplement $69.95) (http://www.pitstop.net.au/pitstop/prog/OpenDocument.cgi?id=V0X7S13PUM&PLU=6050)
The gregory's one and the other one look **** as i already have a Gregory's for my N/A and it's alright but not very detailed with it's explinations.
If you think io should order another one let me know.
All 3? theres 7 volumes!
Thats bout all in the way of detailed diagrams!
My single Vol cost $50 at a swap meet, new.
It's what u just found, Holden commodore calais vol 6. turbo...
Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
all the other volumes sound useless.. i got volume 1 "lubrication, ventilation etc..." at a swap meet for $10bucks and it's been sitting on my desk for 8months now collecting dust... volume 6 looks like the only one that would be usefull, for a VLt conversion at least.
P.S. thanks for the pix.
Vol 1 sounds pritty useless
I use Vol 6 all the time
It has everything fully detailed thats different for a turbo vl
Auto and manual trans fully,
ECU fully,
All i.d. stuff
Suspention fully
4 pinion diffs,
Engine, everything thats different
Turbo ofcorse
Full very detailed wiring scramatics
if ya want scan the rest of the book and it will be worth you having put them up
Seriously i reckon most of the people that have viewed this topic (and don't have the book) would have saved those pics.. and i say thankyou from everyone..
Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
Yeah i know it wasn't pointless, thats what the was for!
To do the whole book would take up too much web space plus the copyright issues??
If sin wants to put it on ct then he can get in touch with me.
