Well I had all my **** taken with my sub box secured in with liquid nails. If someone wants your ****, they'll take it. A couple of handy tools will have any gear out in no time. My stuff was taken when my car was in the car park of my work... and my installers drive cars in and out past it over and over again, so the job had to be done quick. As for lethal sub boxes, I'm pretty sure that Morgz isn't driving one of those VL hatches (!). It's all very well to have the absolute bestest install job ever, but you're only focussing on efectiveness, and not efficiency. Not meaning to start a roit here, but money and spare time matters to a lot of people, so the most hardcore install ever may not be appropriate. Your approaches are absolutely valid, but there's no need to take the piss out of everyone elses ideas ok VK Man?

Well said, IF THEY WANT YOUR STUFF THEY WILL GET IT OUT, they dont care how much damage they make to your car in the mean time.....I really couldnt give a flying **** if someone stole all my audio gear, id worry more about the car! If i bolted it in it would take a hell of a lot longer than a few stips of velcro plus they would make more damage getting it out....I like to spend my time on making my car not get broken into easily in the first place Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

yeah, and if your stereo is taking too much time to steal, there is extra incentive for the ****s to steal the whole car and take the stereo out later.

bolts nuts and washers? torx screws? i dont think anyone asked how to build a bridge. put the box in the boot with some velcro. even screw some 20x20mm wood to the floor around the box so it dont move. at least if you sell the car or decide to take it to the strip you wont have to spend days oxy cutting rusted high tensile bolts out of your boot. its not rocket science peeps. thats my 2bob anyways peace.

Why would you take your Sub out when hitting the Strip? The more Bass people can hear outside the car the faster it is isn't it? I mean, if you could only hear it inside the car, then yeah, get rid of it, you don't want any of that, you might not even look cool as well as go slow... 8O

well, i was going to build my boot all nice and ****, and i got 2 10" infinity subs that i want to secure. I just thought that i could have the bottom of the boot fitted with some thickish MDF, covered in carpet, and then on the carpet have something like press clip things... kind oflike what you would find on a jacket, or sirt maybe... (or on the bottom of a doona cover on ya bed...) them little metal stud thigns that you press together... the local material shop should have them... if i can find a big enough size then i am going to use these... Put 6-9 of them on the bottom of my sub box and it should clip on tightly enough. Well thats my plan anyway... might suck, but its untried so i dunno.

kylie the best thing for you to do is to take the sub out of the sub box and put it back in the original box it came in and take it back to the store. if you cannot complete a simple task like securing it in your boot then u do not deserve to have one. furthermore, can ppl stop posting new threads in this section, you are only serving as a vehicle for BurgundyCalais to think that his life is purposeful by burdenung us all with his longwinded and what he thinks are 'pearls of wisdom' but which infact are 'buckets o' ****e'.

It's not ment to stop pro thieves of stealing your ****, just the majority of youngblood thieves looking for a quick buck. (This is in relation to an earlier flaming) Fair enough, I realise it's not rocketscience to secure a sub box, and of all the flamings recieved, only one really suggested another "good" alternative. Simply screw som wood into the floor on each side and secure you box to them.(also in relation to earlier posts). Kylie, I have just read in the latest Street Commodore mag and add for purpose made sub box tiedowns, and the best thing is that they cost less then $20. Back to all the bickering goin on. Good and fair criticism is great, but all the personal stabs are getting a bit much. Also it's good to keep a thread on topic, if you have your own questions that need answering post a new topic.
