It is in Adelaide at Gully Engine Service, the only do performance engine building, rebuilds, enhancements blah blah blah They have done a few of these rb30 conversions and say it is well worth it and good competition for turbo's hahahaahaha. So watch out all you turbo's out there cause i will be leaving you at the lights lmfao.

If I can just through my opinion in... The N/A can be a worthwhile project and some good times can be extracted from them. Without spending a mint on them, you can get a VERY nice note, and some good performance. I've posted below a column I wrote in the Non-Turbo area. South, you're a **** wit! Get back in your FORD and pull yourself Quote: Originally Posted by Qik_HDT Hi All, Before I bought my latest VL, I had an '86 VL Berlina with a 5 speed box and the whole thing was as stock as they come. I sold it at Willowbank the night I ran 13.9 @ 108mph. I'll let you in on what you should do. 1. Seal off the little air intake snorkle and cut a hole through the bottom of the stock box. Using 90mm PVC down pipe, and 45 degree connections, run the pipe to just behind your front spoiler. Put a K&N panel air filter in the standard box. Don't think about using that flexible piping for the cold air, it's not as effective. 2. Have the cylinders bored 30 thou 3. Fit high compression forged flat top pistons. I used Ross pistons 4. Shave the head 20 thou 5. Have the head heavily ported, polished and hi-flowed 6. Fit Pacemaker 1.75" mandrel bent extractors, a 2.5" mandrel bent pipe from the extractors to the 2.5" high flow cat, then a 2.5" mandrel bent pipe to the straight through Lukey muffler and a 3" mandrel bent pipe from the muffler to the nice tip 7. Stage 3 "Crow Cams" cam 8. Bosch Motorsport fuel pump 9. Bosch 150 390cc injectors 10. Haltech computer with active 3D ignition and fuel timing adjustments. I put a VL turbo LSD onto it and it tell you, it ran like a dream. It all cost $12000 including the price of the car. Other than the engine mods, the car itself was shmik. I did most myself, but the things that I couldn't eg:- shaving the head, boring the cylinders I had done at trade price. The joys of being a panel beater/spray painter. If anyone needs a hand getting hold of something I can be of help. I hope this post has been useful to some, and not just a waste of everyone's time. Although N/A's that are done properly are good, turbo's kick ass!!!

its just not worth selling the vl N/A.. as i wouldn't be looking at selling it for less than $6000-$7000k, i love this car, and its a vl calias, pretty sexy car, vx ss wheels, dumped on its ass, rolled guards, and some other minor mods. so i'm going to work it and keep it for a while! I was at a panel beaterson the w/e and i was chatting to someone there who own's a vl. he had put a GTS skyline cam in his VL and it jets! what type GTS cam would fit in my VL? and would i have to change the ECU because he didn't!!! Thanks peoples for the feedback (and the b/s)

RB25de DOHC Head ($1200) and find a mate who knows what he is doing to help you fit it. Then obviously programmable injection is required, ive seen Microtech setups for $500. Tuning: $300, find someone who has done this before to save time and costs. Wow now you have a VL that actually revs hard.

Gents, Well I think it all depends on the amount you buy the car for and what you are prepared to do to it. I bought an 86 VL auto for $3000 with 117,000km, (5) calais mags with 4 new tyres, new suspension. 6 months rego and have allowed myself another $2000 to spend on it. Which is as follows: *The price of head and cam work for the RB30 is $660 head and $250 cam exchange with change over being $400. Horsepower should be approximately 160 at the wheels (120rwkw). These figures where supplied by John Hill from JHH engineering in Brisbane. *2/1/2inch mandrel bent exhaust from the cat back. Will also put a hi-flow cat on as well. Cheers, JR
