For memory when I did mine years ago all we used was a couple of flat blade screw drivers Sent from my GT-I9305T using Tapatalk

I did it.... Now option 3. No need to pull dash to bits. No need to smash stereo. I used a thin 7mm open ender unbolted stereo. It came out unscathed with no problem Hope this is of some use to those yet to go through this

The screw on the back of the stereo unit that holds it to the security bracket. Take ash tray out. You can access rear of stereo. Use a thin 7mm open ender. It takes a lil patience to undo it, but much less headache than pulling dash to bits... I now have a Technics radio cassette in there, and my stock unit isn't damaged. Infact I fixed it. It had dry joints on the amp chip.

Hey sirhoon, thanks for that mate! I gave it a crack but i couldnt find that bolt for the life of me haha! So i ended up making a custom loom and fitted my new headunit inside my glovebox and left the original one in its factory position! Only issue now is the remote doesnt work when the glovebox is shut, making the headunit unusable! And no im not going to drive around with my glovebox open hahaha!! Any suggestions guys?? Im fairly sure theres something called a infared extender? Has anybody solved this issue? Any info would be greatly appreciated! Thanks Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
