i got the email and i am coming. dont think my g/f would come even if i asked her to. so probly bring a couple of mates. i have a digi cam and i have a mate lined up with a video cam.

I will be coming along - my missus will prolly be with me too (and for those horny young idiots with nothing better to do.. if ya crack on to her, i will crack on to you hehehe) my car actually has better brakes than it should (n/a vl calais, with turbo shell / brakes / diff / etc)... running brand new front discs - so stopping shouldnt be all that bad for me - and should have a bit more down low torque with the cam gears being fixed up tomorrow (yay !!)... I will have a video camera with me, and will edit the film and put it up on the net after the cruise (might take me a few days / weeks as i gotta find a cable im missing to hook it up to the computer)... Anyone got a UHF CB ??? always a good idea for at LEAST a few ppl to have these in case ppl get lost, and general chit chat on the cruise which entertains ppl like me (since i have no stereo)... I will see if i can put up some maps so ppl can get a grasp of where they are going etc... I was up to the "destination" on the weekend on a seperate cruise - and the cruise will be a good run to DRIVE in your car (not being a di<khead, or bad shi+ will happen in the hills !!!)... Lets make this cruise a good one - and one that isnt going to bring a bad name to a) ourselves, b) this website, and c) car enthusiasts in general. Nice post mark, covered almost all the necessary points there.. we have 2 of those uniden or whateva they are walky talkies, they got pretty good range and we'll be bringing them, anyone else who has 80 buks to spare, go get one ! they are sweet for cruising. We have some definates now, so lets get some more. if ur comin state YES, if ur not state NO ! that shall be all guys and gals ! lets have some fun in the hills !

If i'm coming, i may as well make it worthwhile. I'll bring along a VHS & Digital Video Camera. I'll film everything that i can and allowing a week, i should be able to actually burn DVD's for people who want them. Obviously a DVD won't come cheap (about $12) but its a good way of seeing the cruise over and over. I'll also do some VHS copies if anyone wants them. Ollie or Andy or Brendan, whoever has the old cruise footage, do you want me to include this on the Video/DVD... kind of an Exchaser series??

hey rob that actually sounds like not a bad idea at all.. hahah 4 exchaser cruises on the one dvd.. could be sweet.. take note tho.. that the majority of film taken on the first 3 cruises is in the same car.. and only at a few points do i get the chance to film in the turbo variety of vl. I will also bring my video camera rob, and if andy gets my tape back to me, i'll bring it on the cruise for u to borrow and dub if u want. i have 2 good vids full of action actually. so yeah.. :P c-yas there..

for anyone in the SLIGHTEST bit confused with the directions, i've just spent a number of hours going through whereis.com.au and pulling maps down to make a big map of the whole cruise (except for a small part up near Peachester which whereis.com.au didnt cover). The map is complete, but as a jpg, comes in at just shy of 1mb (yeah !! its a LONG cruise, and i have a few blown up parts in it, all of it is in a quite zoomed in, so you can see just about every corner on the cruise). Exchaser - PM me re: this map and ideas about how to distribute this map to people who want it...

Cheers InsaneVL... I think there were a "few" errors Olie couldnt be buggered fixing up, namely at the start of the cruise just before where the "fun" begins.. The map will definetly clear things up...

Yeah i've had a look at the map, all looks good. What i'll do is set it up for print, insert the whole document that Ollie sent, and then print about 30 copies. Hey Ollie mate, ya reckon 50c per map is ok to charge?? just covering my costs aye.

Mate if i were gonna charge $1.00 the profits would be goin towards the DVD's so i can make em a bit cheaper for ya. I've just bought a new computer so i'm all geared up to do the DVD run. Should take like a week to capture, encode, create chapters & burn. Is anyone interested?? they will play in any normal home DVD Player, DVD-Rom drive... i will also do up some VCD's if anyone wants.

yeah.. 50c or $1 for a map is a good idea..
