Rob i think you have an issue with the back seat thing... crap info too... i never had a k&n filter i had no filter just to set things straight i am confident i could get a 15.8 with the back seat in hey. it made **** all difference. why i'd bother again with such a slow ass piece of **** i don't know...i guess going to test'n'tunes and running consistent 16's and 15's isn't my thing hang on maybe i could chuck the front number plate on the side of my n/a should get me a tenth or so  later jay Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

hahahaha thats a good one man. I know the back seat would have made bugger all difference, and i can't beleive it took this long for someone to say something about the rego plate on the side. As i've said in another post, i have fun out there racing... i don't care if i run high 17's (ok i probably would) but its just some fun.

My atmo VL Calais can beat VT V6 exec, and my mates VS makes the VT V6 look like a push bike. VN are still faster than VS though , well from my experience anyway. MY Other Calais on the other hand.... hehehe makes a VS look rather pathetic.....

Uhh, the VN has 127kW, the VS has 147. 1311kg compared to 1385. I don't think the extra 74kg on the VS is going to outweigh that extra 20kW- just like having one more person in the car. Unless the VS is detuned, or the VN is worked, a VS should comfortably win any day.

yeah but it has a lot to do with the way the gearboxes and drivetrains are configured. the auto VNs had a much more positive shifting gearbox where the VSs gearbox is sloppier than kings cross hookers proverbial. the gear ratios in a VN were either a 3.45:1 or a 3.89:1 gear ratio where as the VS is 3.08 regardless of what the model is. Read street dunny doors they even say in there that the VN was faster than VS/VT/VX cause people complained to holden when the first came out that the gearboxes were too harsh and they light the rear treads too easy. VS motor is better (other than the ugly exhaust note they have when they have anything other than stock) its just a matter of improving its small faults (ie suspension, gearbox, diff) and their not a bad car at all. I'd still prefer a VL over both of them though.

Ecotec V6 mate, 147kW of power (that is in the VS, 152 in VT-VY) the VL probably only weighs about 200kg less than the VS anyway, and the VS has over 30kW more...
