Yah I think it is, it's blue and white and connected to the side of a motor bike shop
<offtopic> down main north today at an axhaust shop there was like 5-6 cop cars + 20 cops all in an exhaust shop, now I don't think they were getting 3" systems for their VX's I think some one was b-u-s-t-e-d majorly doing something dodgy...
Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
Platinum the wheels you saw on my car are illegal bein 17x8 over standard 14s in Adelaide and my Insurance company (RAA) doesn't like them either coz they are worth more than the car.

I'm in Brisbane, and it's fair to say that I get pulled over at least once per fortnight for a check over of my car. Not once has anything been said about my 18" mags except once when the chick copper said "nice mags, I bet they were expensive". They are wrapped in 255/35/18 and never have I been hassled about them.
If tyre shops are going to be pricks about it, then get the **** out of there and find somewhere better. I've found that Ian Diffin is a great place. I got my Monaro CV8 18" from them in Yokohama rubber for $1800 fitted and balanced. I had to get them polished, but I thought it was still a good deal
Hi all,
I purchased rims for my vl nearly a year ago now. I rolled into the tyre place on 14"s and out on 18"s.
In victoria there is a booklet relating to the boundaries modifications must apply to. In relation to rims is states that you are allowed to increase rim diameter by two inches from what that model came out in. Since vl's came out on 14"s and 15" you are allowed to have 17" rims.
So maybe the place shouldn't have fitted 18" to my vl but if they didn't some other place would have. I have had the discussion about rim size with several police officers, all of which inform me that 17" rims are largest legal size for a vl.
I don't know why you should have to go home and fit your rims and then come back for a wheel allignment. You pay enough as it is for 17" rims tell them to fit. I would.
vls came out with 16s in walkinshaw, all depends on whether these special models are included in legal description, if so theoretically you could have 18s

Rim upgrades are specific to every individual car and what the tyre plaquard says on that vehicle.
There is a book called "how to build a street machine" or something like that. Its hard cover anyway, some of you might have it. Inside the book covers every modification possible for cars (wheels, engines, body, seats etc.) and lists the ADR's and individual state/territory laws regarding mods. If you havent seen it, track down a copy, its well worth the read.

8) Any ideas were i could get a copy :?:
Yeah, Ive seen it in 2 bookstores in town, one called "Drysdales Auto Books" and another called "Borders" - just a regular style store, not car specific. Ive seen it advertised in Street Machine too, not for a while though. Its hard cover, cost about $50. PM cause I am probably going to buy it tomorrow and I will send you the relevant info so you can order it. If you want I can see if they can arrange to have it sent to you if you want to order a copy?
