in the vl i have: source: crap sony head unit (the laser sux and doesn't read the cds half the time) front: hertz hsk165 6.5" splits 100w rms rear fill: jvc 6" 2 ways 70w rms (full length spacers) sub: hertz 12" 350w rms amp: us audio 5 channel 4x55w 1x220w rms one thing that annoys me is the calais rattling (vls have too much plastic crap)...

holdonv8 i have a similar set-up... and am about to get the alpine 9856i HU for my iPod. 3 pre-outs are good too. Just wanna know your opinion on it! Otherwise it's: MB Quart RVF 215 splits (gettin 125RMS atm, but a guy i know's had similar for 3 years and runs up to 1000RMS through them. yes... 1000RMS) Alpine Type R subbie in their floor-ported box. Alpine MRV F545 4-channel amp runnin splits & sub. $200sony HU but soon to upgrade to Alpine CDA 9856i (maybe) Dynamat in front doors, soon for the rear. Sounds sweet and the dynamat makes a huge diffie for the splits' bass!

i hate to embarass you guys but i am going to have decided list my hectic sound system. this thing breaks windows its so loud. When i went to a sound off comp it was too loud for the equipment they had clarion 1990's style head unit, partially broken but it still does the job chao Yin 4" splits - these were the cheapest i could find and came in at $19 audio line 6x9" in the rear - also cheap and came in at $29 Competition sound for $48
