Formula One engines dont make much torque at all, thats why they have to make them rev to 14,000 RPM to get some decent power out of them. They still make a car go fast though.

ya can't compare a F1 engine to an VL..... the thing is made to produce 900 odd HP in a car that wieghs no more than 500kg... it doesn't need much torque. but in my opinion... just go the RB30ET. it works out a lot easier and cheaper. i was thinking the same thing.. get and RB20DET...then all the stufin around to get a harness and all made...it's only a two litre which i always pick the **** out of.... the way i think of it is... the ammount of cash you will spend to get more HP from the rb20... you will get more HP if you spent it on an RB30.

The first thing that everyone sayz about rb20 is theve got no torque.... but the positives of the rb20 far outway the negatives. Most of the peopel here shoot there mouths off and the are the same peopel who post in another forum...... how do i change my steering wheel!!!! ffs ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS remember this forum is just ***n giude. Go to a cruise in ur area and see if u can go for a drive in a vl with a rb20. Chew his ear the whole time ur in the car, ask heaps of questions cause hes the guy with the info...no some regurgitated bullshiiiiit!!!
