Basically all i want to spend is $8,000 plus the value of my car as a trade in.

All this is on a 1996 Toyota Commodore (Lexcen) Its a VS series II and is pretty stock.
Although it does have a Pioneer head unit the same as what i have now, Pioneer 6x9's and will end up with my sub/amp in the boot.
Its purple and i will post a photo tonight when i get a chance to upload it.
It's gonna be hard to let the VL go but it really is going to a better place.
Anyway looks like next cruise i'll be in a VS... if i'm welcome

I didn't know what differences there were so i parked it next to that purple VR Genuine Commodore in the background and they're identical...
The only difference is the badges (which are coming of minutes after i pick it up)
And the bumpers.

Lexcodore. Only diff is the bumpers, tail lights and badges.
BTW, if you crash into anything they'll have to put Holden bumpers on it because Toyota dont make parts for them anymore.
So yeah theres 1 bonus to crashing.

Anyway my plans are a VS GTS Body Kit minus the rear wing, and then just drop the thing 2"... i dunno if any of you guys saw my Auscar 5 Spokers but they're going on there till i can afford a set of 18"s
I actually talked the dealer into having the badges taken off from the dealership before i even pick it up.
Engine wise i don't have much planned.. basically just carbon fibre cold air for now and a k&N filter.
Picking it up tonight...

It was piss easy gettin the amp itself out, and the sub, but the friggen head unit was a pain in the ass. The guy that put it in left me like 50mm clearance on the cable.
THAT was a **** for trying to wire my splits into the head unit... Anyway got it all done, pissed a few people off, electrecuted myself once and smashed my head on the steering wheel...
Apart from that it wasn't a huge problem...
Now all i can hope is that the Amp lead that i have will fit into the VS... Oh and we'll see how it goes but i may have a capacitor for sale...
Oh yeah... sorry Mike... the door pods are staying with me... dunno how i'm gonna get em to fit though.

The VL is now gone, and i have the Lexcen.
I picked the thing up and like the damm thing had no fuel. But anyway its really clean inside and ok on the outside..
Anyway the damm thing has guts thats for sure... i planted it from the start and it just lifted the nose, chirped the rears and took off.
Its an Auto but f*ck its quick... its got 147kw and 197bhp so its not too bad. The tyres aren't great but then for the bargain price that i got it, who cares.
She rides like a Fourbie so the first thing on the cards after tyres, is a 2" drop.
This weekend i am replacing the cat back off a mates VSII. I'm also dumping the Amp and Sub in this weekend.
All up, i'm pretty happy... there were a few sad moments seeing the VL go, it holds alot of memories... especially being a first car. But i've moved up in the world now so its about time i got a car to match.

Hey man, I would wait until the 18's are screwed on first before you go and lower it. You don't want it down so far you need to get the guards rolled out :roll:
