well, if your totally serious about your sound, you probably won't really care about your rear fill once you get a sub, but, heh, there's nothing wrong with 6x9s Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

ok my opinion here for a first time stereo without subs to start with going off 3 different setups i have heard and recommend: 1) - Pioneer Headunit 4*45watts or better (get one of the MOSFET) ones.. don't have 2 be though - Pioneer 3 way or 2 way 6.5" (6"?) in the front doors - Pioneer 3 way 6*9s in the rear shelf (make a custom shelf out of mdf) This system is very basic and cheap and produces a lot of bass if u want that, generally i reckon if u are after a cheap bassy enuf system without a sub this is a goer for sure.... 2) this one is a bit more expensive but better if u intend on subs later - Alpine Headunit 4*45 watts or better - Alpine 6*9s in mdf rear shelf - Alpine 2 way 6" or the splits This system though it costs more is very clear music.. i love the quality of alpine gear.. alot of other brands are good too though.. and it has the bass there as well if you dont have subs 3) if you intend on getting subs i'd go the splits in the front, 2 way 6" or splits again in the rear shelf... run these off an amp, leave the headunit to run the stocko 4" ... can replace the 4" speakers if your keen enough.. make sure the headunit is of good quality to handle sub out, frequencies etc... the pre out doesnt matter as much as the amp will be doin this.. unless u intend on running the rear shelf from the headunit (as subs give most of the thump in the back) and running an amp only to the front speakers... (that would be headunit running rear deck and 4" speakers) go with it for a while until u could afford some decent subs and an amp... this system will go hard.... and be not overcome by bass as u have the front speakers on an amp too ... well thats my input anyway... c what ya think -Mike Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
