you dont get it do you? im just opening up the other sides of comments..
NO id rather EFI over carby any day on the street. way more drivable.
All im trying to say is if carby's are antique, why are they using them in these $80000 engines? they obviously can get a little more power and response out of them ey? They dont deserve the dinosaur and antique labelling you given them :P They got their facts and figures to back them up.
carbys have their ups and downs, and in the standard comparisons EFI is way better. I never been arguing against, just putting options up
just me 2.2 cents (GST included)

Hi, its proberly got the original carb! throw that away and get a 350 Holley,
dont take any notice of some of these experts, the vl 5litre was a very good
motor, if you knew how to do the heads, airflow is what its allabout,
i have an 88 vl calais thats just been dyno`d, it puts out 450 horsepower at the back wheels, its a street car, and that as far as i wanted to go to keep it reliable, there is still plenty more there if i need to do it one day! still only running 10.1 compression! the black v8 Holden motor was the best Holden 5 litre
motor made!
