10-07-02, 06:52 GMT+10#21 Thanks for the good advice guys, I can't run any smaller rims than a 16 on the rear because the brakes are too big for 15 or 14 inch wheels (have tried). but I think I might change the gears to 3.89 or 4.11 and get a higher stall converter, maybe 3500? And I don't use the car on the street much at all. and the rear suspension is pretty soft, I fit different springs and shocks all round when I'm at the strip.

10-07-02, 14:57 GMT+10#22 well I'd go for 3500 stall and 4.11s but it's your choice. Remember the car has been created a lot for the circuit, and doing these mods may not be the best for that, although they made make no difference, or they could make a positive influence ... i'm not too sure.
Brent, I have given u ur own domain, so you can change the tag down the bottom if you like...

10-07-02, 15:11 GMT+10#23 Yer bout 3500-3800 would be best, i suggest u leave the 3.45's in there 4 now, and do a few runs with the higher stall, people have used 3.45's to run in2 the 10's so i wouldnt go changing them straight away, once u've ran with the higher stall, see if u can get more boost on the line, without wheelspin, (stay on the converter), and therefore ur 60-ft times should improve heaps, somewhere in the 1.6's is achievable. Once u've tried all this, and it duznt work, (which im sure it should) then opt for the higher gears dude.

11-07-02, 07:39 GMT+10#24 I would only use the 3500 converter and 4.11 gears in the car for the strip.
I already have another diff (4.11) just need to replace all the 4 link brackets on the housing. It would be great to get into the 10's but I don't think the motor makes enough power. ops:

11-07-02, 13:46 GMT+10#25 455rwhp? not good for 10's? dude people have done it with much less power, and ur chassis seems to be set up pretty well, so theres no real reason why u shouldnt be aiming for a high 10. 455rwhp is usually good for something in the high 10's, and all u have 2 do is take off almost a whole second and ur there. If u shave .4 off ur time with the 60-ft, and get them down to the 1.6's with the new converter, and then ur 400m should also be better due to u getting much more boost off the line, along with ur mph hitting the 120's. Leaving u to go .6 quicker after the 60-ft, and ur there! Livin it up with the 10 sec boyz 8O

12-07-02, 08:38 GMT+10#26 That was 455 Flywheel HP. I think I will have to wind up the boost to 22 - 23 psi, just have to keep an eye on the injector duty cycle, currently at 77 % at around 19psi.

20-11-02, 18:26 GMT+10#27 Sorry people for dragging up an old post, but,
I have got the 4.11 gears in and have a Dominator 3500 stall (not fitted yet) my turbo (T04) is shagged :x , hopefully getting a GT35R and 'gate' in the next 3 - 4 weeks. I will re-dyno it and get to the strip.
If I can squeeze a few more PSI, I will try for a ten. (serious 8O )
Also a mate of mine is a Motec Guru, so hes going to set up anti-lag for me.....
Hope the Old Jatco will hold up...... 8O
