South Seems to know alot about the he said "cops are assigned to different tasks, are trained in different tasks, and the amount of police around is plenty to share between all different tasks. They are not trained to undertake all duties." And he is always sticking up for the cops so he must be one of the cops that is trying to destry our cruzies !!!!! :x

Well im actually employed by Telstra, and im a resident of Western Australia. Most of the users in WA know who i am, and know i work for telstra, and am certainly not a police officer, however i do know some officers, and hence why i know, and everyone should know there is not only one kind of police person. Why do i say the things i say, simple, because im getting old, and wise, and know fully why police officers do what they do. Fair enough the 'raid' on HiFlow #3 was undue, but it happened because police were reading the forums. And if you have a read through the old forums, you will see pics, and stories about peoples wild expeditions. If you were a traffic officer reading this site, would you not be concerned for others safety when a cruise is organised. Use your brains for a moment, i know that might be hard for some of you, but you can manage, just put a little effort in, and everything will make sense to you. How do you justify calling police ****s? Is it their own fault that your car doesnt comply to ADR and road laws? NO its not, your built your car in an un-roadworthy mannor, and you should take whats coming to you. The term un-roadworthy does not mean your car is in the state of a run down 180 datto, it means its not built to the rules, and therefore you should suffer the consiquences. When your the one who died or was injured from high speed driving, or car parts failing etc etc, dont blame anyone but yourself or the person who pranged into you. Because its your car, you built it incorrectly, tis your fault only. Flame me, go ahead... because it doesnt affect me one bit, your in the wrong, not the police officer

i agree with what you are saying south but not to the point of being a complete fan of what the police do. there are a lot of laws that shouldnt be in place and there are also a lot of laws that are good but are used in the wrong way by cops. in reply to you saying its your fault if your car is illegal, if some cops wanted to they could yellow sticker almost any car which seems to be what they often do, for instance hoody who was defected for loose seats that werent loose. maybe they need to put a few more cops into other areas rather than traffic. give them something better to do than drive around looking for ppl going a few kms over the limit. they make enough money from the cameras anyway. i just think its fair enough for ppl to say things about cops. cops can be ****s because it is frustrating when you get a yellow sticker coz your cars too low, even if it is too low. it is completely your fault but its still frustrating. how is a low car more dangerous than a car with a smashed windscreen. and a yellow sticker for a handbrake with too many clicks? thats a ****y cop.

also the thing that needs fixing is the roadworthy book. it's been change soo it's what u intrepretate to be legal. e.g. toe bars r legal but if u/cop/mechanic thinks it stick out too far then it's unroadworthy. the extact same thing when it comes to seats, seat belts, steering movement, stiff suspenion, etc. so the cop can pull u over and feel like being a **** so he'll say that's unroadworthy, when u can go to a mechanics and theyll same it's perfect. now that's where cops can be ****s. i admit there is some good cops out there and like everything the good ones don't get told but the bad ones do, e.g. u go to a good mechanic u won't really tell anyone, u go to a bad mechanic and u'll tell everyone possible.
