Maybe you could try to stay clear of the black shirts. We'd all end up looking like a bunch of car loving bogans.

I wouldn't mind a black shirt with a ck logo on one side, calais turbo on other with address under it. Would be great to wear not only while with your car but everywhere
sorry to dissapoint but there won't be any official shirts. if u want to make one for urself go ahead. u cant make shirts to make money off them.

Has anyone thought about looking into iron on transfers for shirts?
Then the costs are down and there's no bitching (like theres been) about who wants what brand of top etc.
Only thing, we'll all have different tops, but atleast we'd all have the same logo apposed to a few variations that may arise from making our own up.
I wouldnt even know where too start looking for prices etc etc....
Trudi,
Yes I have my own calaisturbo.com which has a iron on transfer. it cost me $15 (Thanks Kris) and for a shirt i wear around the house and as an undershirt its fine.
however, its hardly a 'nice' shirt, and if i was to sell shirts thru the site, they would need to b done properly, and that means making them the best we can.... and the iron on shirts arent really upto the standard that i'd want if i were to go ahead...
iron on things are crappy.
Rob have you done the shirt thing yet ? I'm keen to come over and have a look at the final product...
yeh official gear would be great, if anybody "official" could be bothered doing it. I say if it all says www.calaisturbo.com , who cares if it's different
people will see it, they'll think "i've seen that before" not, "oh god that shirt was a different design to a calaisturbo shirt i've seen before"
anyway blah blah, what's this about a ck logo on one side ?
as in calvin klein ?? how homo.
catch ya !!

Well, I looked into it, and to get decent shirts made up that were actually worth the money, I would have had to have sold at least 30 shirts to break even. The actually patch would cost around $150 to make up, and it wasnt even the size we wanted, it was too big, and didnt even look nice. Then we would have the actual costs of producing the shirts.
I went to other embroidery places to check it out, and they all said the same thing, the logo isnt 'patch friendly'. and if we WERE to do shirts we would want to use the logo, to keep everything looking professional, and not have different designs everywhere.
I also looked into screen printing, it just didnt look as good, nor as professional as embroidery.
The only way we would actually go ahead with it, is if people pay a 40% deposit on the shirt, then we'd get it made up. Other clubs havent done this, and found they lost a HEAP of $$$
Also, I dont think you should go make up calaisturbo.com merchandise when you dont own the domain, it'd be like making your own hsv/holden gear.. its just not done.
If we can get a decent 'patch' friendly logo developed.. then maybe I might finance the project.. if I can get confirmation of people wanting something made up.
see JVL87, we are doing something.
I don't mind throwing a design together that would be 'patch friendly'... depends if ya serious or not
Wouldn't mind a t-shirt actually
