17-01-12, 18:53 GMT+10#383 Yesterday I drilled the holes in the enginebay for the cooler piping, then tonight after work i fitted the intercooler and dummy fitted the piping.
this is the problem im having with the plenum and cooler piping, cooler piping is to suit rajab plenum and this is ment to be a rajab replica. will be cutting the flange off and welding another one on at the right angle, hopefully i can get it to work, if not ill have to bite the bullet and buy a genuine rajab plenum.

17-01-12, 18:57 GMT+10#384 You thought about getting a space made up to fill the gap?

17-01-12, 19:05 GMT+10#385 will be easier to cut that flange off and change angle a bit, ive already got another flange sitting here, and my boss can alloy weld.

17-01-12, 21:03 GMT+10#388 Nah my old cooler is on lockys bt1. This is a pwr cooler that was originally in that fe calais that Sprigzy bought and took the running gear out of for his gold Calais. It's a little bit damaged but u can't see it anyway. It's fully hidden.

18-01-12, 07:50 GMT+10#389 An angled silicon elbow would just about fix that problem. A 30deg would nearly fit perfectly by the looks of it

18-01-12, 09:09 GMT+10#390 Yeah but the throttle body misses the radiator hose by about 2mm when it's bolted up and also I'd have to run a different accel cable set up then. And las of all I don't want it to look like **** lol. I'm trying to keep the bay at a reasonable level. It's hopefully just gonna be straightforward cut flange off trim plenum to change angle and weld flange on. I've got some longer silicone joiners which I think I might need but apart from that hopefully will be sweet. I wish I could just afford a genuine plenum but I still gotta finish off fuel set up, make turbo lines, and buy computer get it wired in and tune. So every penny I can save helps lol.

19-01-12, 20:04 GMT+10#391 flange cut off plenum and plenum cut back to a more suitbable angle, will get new flange tacked on hopefully early next week, dummy fit it then if all is sweet get it welded up.

01-02-12, 20:55 GMT+10#400 picked up all my fittings, started fittings them, need to change a few 45 degree fittings for 90 degree ones but getting there. Cut my hot side cooler piping today and fitted the two 45 degree silicone joiners, fits just about perfect, will buy some t bolt clamps tomorow to finish it off. next is heatwrap then it can all go together properly and hot side is basically done besides intake pipe and a pod filter
