Going with 6inch alpine speakers 300watts max 2way built in tweeter I have a pair of boxed Alpine 6x9s that I've had for a few years, putting them from one car to the next. the bass in them is alrite, running straight off the head deck. would be better running them off an amp though, coz they do start to distort when you crank them up. go to repco/supercheap, or a car audio store and have a listen to a few of the different ones they have on display, see what ones you like then go from there. If you can, put them in boxes because they bass will be made a lot stronger (louder) due to the damping (baffling) that the box provides (as opposed to mounting them straight onto the parcel shelf). Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
