And was told not to put them in my car and to go with springs, Apparently they end up sagging in a heavier car like a Commy. So im just gona get a set of king springs

A mate and I have been working on a VP. Had a mad bum fight with the lower control arm ball joint. Had to use a ball joint sep. Can we change the BALL JOINT JOINT DUST COVER. or is it part of the ball joint assemb. Cheers

preeeetty sure you can't replace just the cover. If you use a screw type separator carefully it is possible to separate the joint without damaging the rubber.

Hey guys, been a couple of years since I've posted on CT. I've got a Royale with 270mm front discs and am upgrading to 290mm rotors which are std on the Calais. I've bought the 290mm rotors and 2nd hand VT callipers. A bit confused with the aussies talking about adaptor hubs for the rotors, but the set I have should just bolt on? To check I went down to Sayers and to compare the VT callipers with a Calais calliper and they have the same clearance, spacing so this shouldn't be problem?

Did the brake lines reach the callipers ok?

If your using VT calipers you'll need longer hoses as the VL's original ones are too short.

You may be right Danny, but I have a feeling the flaring on the chassis-end of the VT-VX hose might be different to the VL ones? Wouldn't have a clue though as my VT setup was a kit so everything was all there.

Will just bite the bullet and see how I go tomorrow. Went to a brake specialist earlier to make the appointment and mentioned that it may need longer lines. They said no problem, there had options to get around this.

They said no problem, there had options to get around this. the VT hoses come with the bracket attached with will need to be bolted next to the VL bracket on the body, then the flares will need to be changed, if doing so change both ends, (M/C ends aswell) and the one to the rear and put the VT M/C on with the VS plastic booster, or use custom hoses but could be costly? i paid $300 all up for mine (M/C booster rotors calipers) 2nd hand and worked mint

1 panel 2 depends on the individual pitstop store as the quality can vary, 3 what sort of engine? avgas is no no on road on N/A 3.0 not even worth it,12.1CR on track with avgas would be cool

1. Panel, Standard airbox with the opening enlarged (that said the opening in the factory box is bigger than the throttle body anyway) 2. Look around the exhaust shops in your area, taking note of the customers cars in for work, chances are if there are plenty of nice cars about they do good work, just be prepared to pay, nothing good is cheap, nothing cheap is good. 3.Min 95 octane, I run 98 when I can afford it, factory says 91 but every one ive had runs like a dog on it and uses ****loads more fuel because you have to press the loud pedal harder for the same result.
