well the box is in! jus gotta put some more bolts in between engine/bellhousing, drain the dead fuel, put starter motor in, bolt up tailshaft, 2 new tyres for the front and we're rockin but thats enough for today. do the rest tomoz Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Lol, was just taking the thing for a quiet run to keep it going. Starter motor is stuffed so I dare not stop until I'm home again at the moment. Lowering the car is on the list, but I need to get the steering sorted first, so that's where the $$$ are being saved for at the moment. I agree it needs to be dropped a bit but, nothing too drastic but.

mmmm anyone got any ideas why my car wont start? starter motor works. checked it like 10 times go to turn it over jus get a noise similiar to a flat batttery. altho battery is not flat checked it and others 10 times. jus tried to clutch start it no go so now its sittin in the street cos theres no way to get it back up the drive. hasnt started for a while... dont see why that shud make any difference.. motor turns.... not seized.. grrr much? not sure whether the next stop is the auto elec or mechanic either way its money i dont want to spend and more than likely somethin i should be able to fix myself. if only i knew what it was ?!!?

mmm dunno man. My starter motor is ****ed and when I go to start it in hot weather nothing happens so i have to hit the starter motor with a big wooden stick what lives in my boot.

Think I may have my starter motor sorted. Drove the car to work today and the rotten thing wouldn't kick over this afternoon. There's a relay on the inner left guard with wires running to the starter, I noticed the screw holding it on was loose, and the ground wire was under the screw. Gave it a jiggle and the bloody wire fell out of the terminal. I jammed it back in and the car kicked over straight away with no dramas at all. I just made a new ground wire and secured it under a better bolt, car kicked over like a dream. Fingers crossed I'm in the clear on the starter, that way I'll be able to lower the car sooner. Had a look as I was crossing the carpark today, and yes it sits with it's rear in the air a bit too much, front looks alright as is.

ok wasnt the starter motor... who knows motor wouldnt turn with the box on so figured box may be rooted pulled box back out box turns motor turns why are they not turning together? what have i done wrong? i am confused much

ahh yeh already done that awhile back. cheers anyhow. - for the record its the purple wires that go into the relay next to the battery
