cheers mate, got the car back. made 258rwkw on the dyno but with the trans slipping. on the street the trans isnt as bad but still slips pretty bad. it feels real real strong on the rd alot better than 258kw so im pretty happy with it but need to have the trans issue sorted out before anything more can happen. thats about all for now

how much boost?

20psi on e85, like i said its stronger on the rd, on the print out its a real nice steep power curve then it almost flat lines when the trans slips. so im confident and so was my tuner that its making more than that it was hot and slipping everytime he tried to run it on the dyno.

-pumba- please please listen to the guys when they recommend a powerglide. You will not look back and they are awesome to drive with and tough as fk! I was hell sketchy about a glide initially coz the whole 2 speed thing and i have the same setup as you and its the best awesome car by the way man Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

yeah i know powerglides are wicked and if i could afford one i would but at the moment earning $700 a week with another car to run and maintain, a rd bike and living expenses its not really easy to come by a spare few grand. im not to sure what im going to do yet, will probably get this one ooked at and ee if its fixable cheaply or not and just go from there

I'd just wait til you have to funds to put a glide in it. Once you have a good transmission you'll never have to touch it again

Yrah spoke to our trans guy we use through work today and he said he reckons it will be on its limits even if i get him to go over it and see whats wrong with it. He recomended a glide straight away or a trimatic. So more than likely ill try save for a glide.

not much has happened, is in a wedding in 4 weeks. so will be repainting rearbar and sidemoulds/skirts as they are a little shabby. took the car into my trans guy and he seems to think it may be loosing pressure or something, am going to drop it off with him for a day so he can have a bit more time to drive it, and see what he thinks. at this stage there is no money for a glide or any other trans really so just seeing what he thinks.

few updates, this weekend decided to get into the sides moulds, I had to replace the drivers side rear one as mine had a big crack through it. then painted them with asteriod silver, did two coats followed by two coats of clear. Also got some stick on chrome strip from rarespares. went 10mm diameter, seems pretty close to the factory size. Also got another set of bonnet vents as mine were broken and rattled like crazy, gave them a coat of satin black and clear. Got my 19's back from having the gutter rash fixed and resprayed, have 2 tyres here and will most likely buy 2 more next week and get them fitted. another little change, just relocated the a/f ratio gauge. got annoying with it in front of the clock, also didnt really want it there because it was real visible. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
