Not sure if its any help at all, my brother used to own one. Sold it some time around 2003 i'm guessing. It was Cardinal Red, V8 Auto. at the time it had VN SS wheels on it, and had Walky seats, door trims etc. Rear bench was trimmed to match from memory. It lived in Newcastle NSW at the time. He traded it on a WH statesman, So probably didn't get what it was worth. Next time i see him i'll confirm what i can, see if he has any old pics or anything of it. Cheers, Scott.

Thanks. Even an old rego number might help me to link it to a car I may have listed.

A customer of mine also has an original Calais sedan thats never been painted for the fender badges. I'll see what I can come up with. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Best I can come up with on the badges are the following. Initially I thought the parts wagon I have here hadn't had the tailgate fiddled with but the badge positioning doesn't marry up with other tailgates I've seen from very original cars. One thing though, the turbo badge isn't in the same position as for Berlina's and SL's (maybe so it lines up with the shorter Calais badge) and the Calais badge on the tailgate seems further in to the left than a Commodore badge on non-Calais wagons. A brand new 5.0 wagon taken days after it was purchased... Another one years later... About as original a Calais wagon as I can find... Note different turbo badge placement on Exec SL wagon. This lines up with my Exec parts wagon too. Turbo badge is higher on Calais and looks to be further in from the RH edge of the tailgate... Original badge placement from another parts wagon... With the tailgate badges being moved I'm not sure I can trust this one, but it looks right... Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

^Would you have any 5.0 Berlina Wagon rear end shots? I figured the badges on mine were fairly correct but compared to the 5.0 Calais, mine may have been moved This is a Kimberly Bronze LF1 MF5 Berlina Wagon I had awhile back. Very original car but slightly different badges again? Probably been moved also Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

These are the most original looking Berlina's I can find. With your white Berlina I think both the Holden and Commodore badges need to be moved outwards a bit and the 5.0 badge down. Also, with the 3.0 NZ badge, the parts catalogue shows it being the same design as the 5.0 so you might want to check that. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

So that cardinal red Calais wagon is correct Calais turbo positioning? Cause mine were both on the bottom I think from memory..

Yep, from what I can make out. I've seen more than three or four now with the exact same positioning. The upper edge of the bulk of the turbo badge seems to align pretty much with the red/white lens demarcation on the tail light. Check the maroon Calais and the red Berlina. Pretty much identical positioning and I know that Calais wagon hasn't ever been painted.
