Does anyone know what those wheels are? I think they look quite good one that car. Black centre on a Black VL would look schmick as... Hint Hint Danny boy!
TSW Thruxton. I don't think black centre rims suit any Commodore other than VEs. Grey centre is nice though

How do you come to this conclusion? I can't understand why you think they would look good on a VE but not a VZ? Sure i can kind of see where you are coming from as far as older models go - but what makes them suit the VE so much more than VX, VY, VZ etc?
As a general rule i only like silver or polished mags... I don't really much care for mags matched to body colour - or black, gold, white mags etc. However i have seen some black cars with black centred mags and polished dishes and they actually can look quite nice - lets just say the look is growing on me.
Oh and i also don't much car for chrome mags - especially the 'dub' style mags that just look like large chrome woks with some small holes cut out of them - HATING!!
Oh yea, and those Thruxton's look like a nice wheel - don't know if the offset would be very VL compatible though!

It is quite the extensive rebuild... although if it was me i would've definitely changed the engine!

I have always liked those HDT VC's - I think the kit (the flares etc) really sends out the don't F#%$ with me vibe!
The VC HDT is awesome, would have to say it's my second favourite HDT, after the VK GroupA/Group3

I think it's the big guards on the VE and more modern styling that makes them suit black centre rims. I've seen a few VZs with them and they just don't look very good imo. I had black centre rims on my daily a few years ago when they first came out, but wouldn't put them on a car now because they're too common now

The Thruxton's are a bit deceptive with how much dish they show, look how the spoke bends in to give the big dish look without needing crazy low offsets

I think it's cool because it's different sure he could of put a v8 in it but thats been done to death

I mean who goes to that much trouble and $$ to do up one and keep the standard engine. If it was sitting at a show or something you would normally see an 8 under the hood !

I guess an RB30ET would be ok, but a 202 just isn't cool
Yeah, any pre VL Holden is just screaming out for a V8.
Don't get me started on 202s, some guy at my work recons a 202 is better than an RB30. Please
