Looks to be something like that. Draw an imaginary line from the centre of the tailgate handle out to the edge of the tailgate and that line should run through the centre of each badge.
The tailgate crease isn't straight so it's no good lining them up against that. There's a very slight curve in it.
If you draw another imaginary line down from the sharp inner corner of the RH window moulding, the Calais badge looks to line up just to the left of that. It certainly sits further in than the Holden badge which seems to be the same on all wagons from 7/86 onwards.
I have a genuine Berlina Turbo Manual Wagon (checked the numbers on here) and it has no Turbo badges. Does anyone know if it would have came from the factory like that or is it more likely that the badge/s were removed at some point.

Yes, they would have all come with the badges. Someone would have removed them at some stage, either to be less of a target in car parks or they were flogged.
You should have the red one on the tailgate and a black and white one on the other end of the facia panel on your dash from the Berlina badge.
Below is the pic from the Car Australia mag road test back in 1988 with the car only being weeks old. Confirms the other shots posted above I reckon.
Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Thanks for the reply. Most appreciated.
Do you by any chance have a picture of the dash panel one and its location?

Car Australia - May 1988 (apart from the 1988 it is stated at the bottom of the scans and as the article makes specific reference about waiting to see what the VN has to offer then I would guess 88 although 1989 is also a possibility).

Here ya go. This pic shows a dodgy turbo dash badge from Ebay being held up against an original one. Your Berlina one should be on the left (instead of the Commodore SL one shown) and the turbo badge on the far right.

its one of the rare spares ones
Found this today, it's listed as a replica A9Y, at a glance it looked fairly legit. Not much of a description. Could be worth looking into if ur in Perth..
