Quote: Yes yellow is definitely in the lead Australia wide and worth more overall. I am definitely not offended. But, living in SA as we do, the whole yellow BT1 hype just isn't happening. I put this down to the fact that we never saw them as police car here. I've been on cruises with yellow VLs and most don't care for them. They take more interest in other VLs. When I explain to the typical SA VL enthusiast that mine is a BT1 and red but yellow ones are worth heaps more, most say that yellow is poop and the red is so much better. Many also ask if mine has had the colour changed from white or yellow... Sadly it's a SA thing. In saying this, I love Yellow ones and would like to own a genuine one, but in this life it will most likely never happen due to the cost. Think this sums it up. BT-1 is a personal thing and/or a fad. x police cars and most are RTA cars at that. Basically there punished vl turbo's that have been decommissioned and sold to the public. Sure if you had an ex pursuit vl that had been restored to cop spec and presented at shows then I could understand maybe $25,000 But a bog stock yellow vl turbo? Same with VN BT-1s . They must bust be worth a bit by the same measure. I could probably pick up 4 for $10,000. there's a nice one on my street selling for $1,800 People from out of the state seem them for what they are another vl turbo. Each to their own but come on the price?

A friend of mine had a fridge they no longer wanted on their nature strip with a sign saying "Free". Sat there for days. They decided to put a sign on it $20 and a few hours later someone pinched it LOL! Nothing to do with yellow vl's but it could have been a yellow fridge.. lol
