Cheers Ol, Had a setback with rego, my original application expired and my resubmission was rejected :| I tried not to let it worry me too much because I needed it finished for the wedding one way or another. I'll be looking for an engineer to check the car out and give their suggestions to the best approach moving forward.

I scrapped the RB30 because it wouldn't pass IM240 and went this route got pre-approval before I bought anything. All money spent was to make sure it would be legit including cats, all emissions gear, erod carb legal package so I'm not keen on removing it all because of an administrative issue. I did everything properly and build still meets VSB14 LA2 as far as I interpret it - as long as an engineer will sign it off. Just going to take my time and finally have this thing registered properly in WA. Quote: Originally Posted by Yeti [View Post] That metal work is of chops! Cheers we are stoked with it!

So great news - Engineered and Registered DoT were eventually good enough to honour the expired modification application and then the race was on to finish of the last bits and pieces to pass all of the engineering hurdles. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Awesome car. Great job. I like the blue colour. I painted an LX hatchback Torana a very similar colour to your VL. When I went to sell the Torana the 1st person that saw it loved it and it sold straight away. Have you got any interior shots of your Calais? I remember wanting to have 2x VL SV88's as wedding cars as my uncle in law already had one so I was gonna do a replica in time for my wedding but the one I bought was a factory tuxedo black V8 VL Calais so I didn't want to change that colour. I still have the Calais but not that missus, we split before we got married. I got to keep the important things...in particular the Calais, Yaye, winning.
