Getting there, just needs to go auto elec as its loosing charge from somewhere(didn't have this issue before I took it to get painted) then off for its rwc and reg, just in time for some better weather.
Mechanic reckons he was getting two people a day asking if owner would sell.
Getting close now!

Gents, opinions
Better off rebuilding standard turbo or replacing?
What's it usually cost to rebuild the old t3?

I just found out the seal is leaking on mine and is getting done this week.
Adelaide turbo services here in Adelaide (very reputable). Bill Keen.
Says $800 reconditioned
They rebuilt it in 2013 and that was $1350.

Might be the go to rebuild then.
Turbos not spooling for love or money, cars been sitting for years, not sure if that's got anything to do with it, don't think it'll come good and don't want to chance it so might just rebuild it

Thank you my man!
I got the list for the rwc, mechanic was a bloke I don't know and went over the car thoroughly , said to me he literally struggled to find things wrong with it and it was cleaner then the vy commodore he just went over so was happy with that! Gotta fix things like globes, handbrake, one seatbelt. The main issues being rear bushes, brake pads and one wheel bearing.
Drove it about abit and loved it, such a tight smooth unit, look forward to fixing this turbo and getting to afew meets and catching up with some of u blokes

There will be no doubt, the annual one at lorbek gets good numbers but it always gets shut down and it's not really a cruise per say more a meet up.
The best cruises were the vccc where you would drive to 3 or 4 meet points that were scattered from east, west, north and south. You'd meet everyone and the best bit was the driving.
