Okay Guys & Girls. Seriously looking at selling my VL, Will come with set of slicks and front runners as well. Also new Ling Longs on front and back for genuine buyer. Not a show car but a tidy car, chasing $20,000 or Trade for LX-LH Torana/ Tuff v8 Holden (HK HT HG ute or wagon). Can contact me on [phone removed].

Abit of an updated. Gave the old girl a service. Bolted up a set of 235 x 60 x 15 et streets and headed out to warwick dragway. First 2 x passes spun the tyres about 40 foot out. Quick peddle led to a early back off 7.00 @ 89mph. 3rd pass. Changed tyre pressure and went a lazy 1.70 60ft. Left with 4pound instead of 10 and ran 6.72 @ 107 mph. Time for boost controller and a turbo upgrade.

Well updates soon to follow stepping the combo up a tad. Getting the 3540 rebuilt into a pro GTX, bigger injectors and maybe a ecu upgrade to link. And a chrome moly bolt in cage and parachute. Will be chasing a set of id1500s or so if any one have any for sale inbox me. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Whats every ones thoughts on GT42 on rb30? Really thinking of making a ecu change and high mount / turbo change this year. Would obviously need bigger injectors and convertor change.

And in this day and age im sure you can make enough power to run low 9's with something in that range easily I actually would think you can run high 8s' with someone as smart as Justin in your corner with a turbo that size, if that was your overall goal , and still be a fun streeter cheers darren

Daz is on the money, they're a lot more forgiving too. Ie - you can get away with a slightly larger plenum, or a lower stall, or no headwork, or a glide and it's still streetable. But if you go a large turbo, large plenum, large stall.. it's a hard combo to get right, and then it's likely to be pretty laggy too.

My corolla runs a $500 China GT42, been pushing over 20psi for about 18 months and about 28psi for past 12 months, still good so far lol.... I have a Proboost 42R for the VL, It did do a few passes on a mates 8 sec Gemini and (obviously) is still good Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Pity grant at proboost only does the gtx3582 and t04z, be great if he could build the Z he does but with a GT37 turbine and not a old P trim, be a great budget turbo. Id buy one in a second if it was around his current turbo prices cheers darren
