Good reply's
I like to provoke a bit of thought.
I know it just another Calais but i feel i have to do my bit for the love of originality and encourage people to think before modifying a clean example.
Original vls will go up in value but buy how much is any ones guess, judging by the members of this site i for one would give my left nugget to secure one of the last nice ones out there.
there not rare...yet
Love the car.
ill spectate

Good honest original ones could almost be considered rare.

Well abit of an update peeps!
I have decided to give the calais a full respray (didnt take long i know) lol
So national windscreens are booked in for monday! The only thing not getting painted is the bay as its excellent condition.Well i guess the journey starts once again.. Im pretty excited as i cant wait to see the finished product
As i mentioned above the windscreens will be out monday so my panel beater can continue what he does best we have in the mean time taken off the boot & bonnet! sanded them back and fixed any imperfections etc my panel beater got some time up his sleeve & gave them colour & clear on the underside of both below are pics ive taken to see the final result which im very happy about.
Getting there Oh and before i forget is the calais silver bar colour ASTROID SILVER?

Nice car mate, and i think its fairly obvious by your plates that you already have the Modification devil sitting on your shoulder whispering sweet nothings into your ear.

Guys need your help! what should i do with the rear boot strip & sides? I've got a centre garnish new from rare spares but not sure what looks good. Should i paint them GM Satin black then clear them? i polished the boot strip but it scratches way to easy just by wiping them with a micro fibre cloth if you know what i mean! any suggestions maybe even if you have pics of different ones.
cheers!

Chop it up, bomb it the **** out. Nobody cares about your original cross over pipe when you're toasting the rears in top gear on the freeway

Nice to see you back mate. Your other car was one of my favourites. Shame it went missing.
I look forward seeing what you do to this one.
