I learnt my lesson by going cheap eBay the best I have seen on eBay is pro boost but it wasn't around when I first started out, the poor man pays twice as they say.... Do it rite do it once, try resell ya stuff or get ya money back, or borrow the coin to get some quality gear the first time and not have to worry about it again

just bolt it on forget about the wastegate free boost is the bomb diggity set your inj duty cycle to 100% and hook up another fuel pump just to pump fuel in your manifold and wear a EOD suit. lol all jokes aside you can run that turbo i wouldnt on a genuine a8 block just because there gettin harder to get and slap it on a $100 na engine decompressed with a $180 cometic or mls give it a re-ring $150-200 and send the $500 head away do the fuel system $500(second hand) and arp studs and bolts ($400) get it tuned $300-$1000 i probably missed something but thats just a rough guesstimate from what you allready have, you have to decide between what you want either a kitty cat or fcking godzilla in comparison to a 35/40 im only saying this because your going about upgrading a mildly modded vl to a little bit more mildly modded vl turbo and more then likely throwing money away because it doesnt perform how you want just from my reading seeing you want a weapon not that 35/40 owners cars arent weapons (im gonna cop some crap over this post oh well)

If you want to upgrade your looking at $250-$500 for inj 1000cc ~$350 if you want to 2 plus pump fittings and intank $721+postage for a big turbonetics turbo from godspeedproject.com $300-400 for dump pipe $150 for upgraded intercooler piping for big turbo $200 fuel line upgrade $200 turbo oil water lines Thats for bolt ons then you have your tune now for your engine if you chose to do it your self $250 cam $500 for head reco and double valve springs add $500 for roller rockers your choice $300 block machining if you know a guy $180 for cometic headgasket $700-1000 for forged pistons $600 rods $400 oil pump $300 bearings $150 belts $300-400 studs and rod bolts $80 flywheel machining if manual $100-150 for them to check your crank and put it in $?????? harmonic balancer hope this helps

Leave the standard injectors in for the time being, it will run that way, keep the revs as low as possible too. Save your cash, something will break.
